Tech Lead

Permanent employee, Full-time · London
70,000 - 90,000 £ per year
About us
Log my Care is one of the fastest-growing Care Software start-ups in the UK, having quadrupled its customer base since 2020.
Our mission is to digitise the social care sector (care homes and home care agencies) and help hundreds of thousands of carers to provide a better quality of care to the UK’s most vulnerable people. The sector is over 60% analogue and paper-based, losing out on the many benefits technology can bring. We’re passionate about changing this with our awesome mobile App and Web-based tools that make delivering care far, far easier for hard-working carers.
The role
We are looking for a passionate and organised Tech Lead to join our ambitious team here at Log my Care. Reporting to Adam our CTO, you’ll help foster a culture of engineering excellence, which will help drive the business forward.

You will:
  • Take full technical ownership of our main product: our Care Management platform, used by ~30K carers to record over 2M care notes a week.
  • Help foster a culture of engineering excellence, with a strong focus on reliability and stability.
  • Work closely with the product owner and product designer to refine new ideas and translate them into technically feasible products.
  • Architect technical solutions for new products, and work with a PM to plan their implementation.
  • Mentor and coach 3-4 more junior devs and review their work.
  • Be prepared to be hands-on coding 50-70% of the time.
Champion the adoption of a DevOps mindset in the team.

Example projects in the near term:
    • A new mobile app that allows Service Users to access their own records
    • Dashboards and analytics: allowing services to drill deeper into their data
    • Integrating our eMAR Medications product with a pharmacy, to minimise data duplication between systems
    • Integrating with GP Connect, allowing users to see GP records directly within LMC
Salary range
£70K - £90K
